New Year’s Festival at the Morikami Museum

If you’re in South Florida this Sunday, January 13, 2019, you ought to make the trip to the Morikami Museum for their annual Oshogatsu (New Year’s) Festival.  Great food, entertainment, and beautiful Japanese gardens.  You’ll also learn a lot about Japanese New Year traditions, like the mochi-making shown in the photo above. There will also be a Kimono de Jack - flash mob of kimono-wearing enthusiasts! - that you can join by contacting the organizers here.

I've been suffering from hay fever (which seems to have caused a throat and/of lung infection) but still had a great time yesterday!
