Here are the instruments I think the the Vampire Knight characters would play very silly
Aidou- Would play the violin. As it is a similar instrument to the viola but is smaller in size and has a standard design that. Everyone knows the violin as the classical instrument it is the one mostly know and has a certain allure that makes people swoon any time they hear it. In the begging he was lowkey playing those girls heart and the violin could be seen as a seductive kind of instrument
Kain- he'd play the trumpet he has control over his words and emotions. With the trumpet it's all control in the mouth as the trumpet only has 3 valves so all the notes coming out of it is primarily coming from the mouth shape which I think he has a good control over with how he just how he talks.
Ruka- Would play the Cello the cello can grant a peacefulness to those who hear its song. However the Cello demands structure to those who play it you have to be proper in holding it and in posture back straight head at a slant tilt legs must hold the Cello in place for they are its support your entire body is the support for the instrument. However the Cello would not place the full responsibility of its weight on you for thay would be too cruel the ending is there to not overwhelm and provides its own support. Ruka is prim and proper she has a perfect posture as expected of vampire nobility and is aware of the responsibility thay position holds the Cello demands respect and responsibility its structure on that Im sure Ruka can fulfill.
Takuma- would play the glockenspiel its a relatively old instrument that has been essentially replaced with keyboards. The use of it rare as many would prefer the keyboard over the glockenspiel how the the old still has beauty what came before is to still be respected and revered for the progress they have brought towards music. To play one needs to intune with their body and it's constraints with its ups and downs and crossover action. I think he would have fun with it.
Senri- he'd play the piano it would be required for a pureblood such as himself to play a renowned instrument. It can go to speeds that many other instruments cannot reach for its all just you. You are in control every sound that happens is because of you the piano just sits thier all you have to do it play no thought just movement. The gliding fingers on keys that will not penalize you for lack of posture or control just you. Anything you do it is encouraged everything is considered music. I think he'd would have wanted to play the American Fotoplayer instead to have access to every sound he wasn't allowed to play.
Rima- Would play the harp gentle harsh pluckings. A sound so angel yet it would cause the one playing pain. Postionality is must mearly simple rest on the should you are pulling string towards you after all. You'll get over the pain eventually as where is beauty with a little. The beauty of music the lull of a song.
Sayori- the flute spring warmth. Fluid motion not stuck in rigid motion allows for freedom of movement. Seiren- the bass a supporting sound backs up other instruments gives a beat. It is rarely heard alone. If their is sound of the bass the others are sure follow.
Tooga- the electric guitar he's cool like that.
Kaien- electric keyboard he'd love those funky tunes.
Shizuka- the clarinet, melancholy echoes through the sound a sadness is always accompanying it.
Kaito- drums the possibility of fully taking over a sound staing as a supporting role in the tune a beat given a tune to follow guidance in a sound.
Ichiru- the oboe has the ability to tell a story with its song its like it can make the story come to life. What matters is what story it wishes to play. How does want the world to see it. It is in control of its action we can only watch what it chooses to do.
Yuki- the recorder, a childish instrument one that can grow into a professional sound if it wants to. It has a choice to grow to live in nativity or to embrace the world for it is. The thing about it is that it can play both sides without having to stick to one. because of that most dont leave the nativity stage it takes effort to leave the nativity stage its not just given its earned. Not choosing is naive sure its fun but you limit your self from greater responsibility because your refusesal of choice.
Kaname- the Viola the head of the Viol da braccio family. It has much wider range than the violin it can get the violins sound it can go lower than what is available to the violin. Its bigger and thicker than its violin counter part all under the Viol family are derived from the Viola a part of them is a Viola yet not they are all different but they have a part of the viola in them. The viola is considered perfection.
Zero- the Saxophone you can hear the screams of the instrument everything you do changes what you get. You sit wrong a crack you think wrong a crack breath wrong and its all over. Its a very instrument everything in its environment affects the way it plays every part is connected they all affect one another. The body of the one playing also has an effect on the instrument legs teeth hands lips tounge diaphragm theses all have effects on what the saxophone will give. The saxophone can scream into the sound of music and cry a path of tears.
