Above are other early experiments which Included my initials knowing that I wanted that to be the core of my logo but ultimately I moved away from.

Despite moving away from the designs i still liked them so kept developing them for separate personal projects. I envisioned the trace of a mongoose, made with the pen tool on illustrator, as a mascot for my own sports team and used it to create a team crest. Also, as mentioned in my post on Basquiat, his signature crown inspired me as it was similar to my basic idea above. Therefore i adapted mine so that the lines looked like paint strokes and added color, while i haven’t got a use for it, I really think the roughness of the paint strokes give it the look it needs as a final image. While i haven’t found a use for this yet, I am very keen to find a place for it.
