Cuban Oriole Icterus melanopsis
An oriole endemic to Cuba. Cuban orioles are able to survive in a wide variety of habitat conditions present throughout Cuba. These include plantations, dense forests, and human settlements. The birds are frequently observed foraging in coral trees for insects and nectar, and tend to attach nests to the underside of palm tree leaves.

Baltimore Oriole Icterus galbula Icteridae (New World Blackbirds and Orioles) Family
Photograph taken on May 7, 2026, at Point Pelee National Park, Leamington, Ontario, Canada.
We saw the oriole again today, which led to everybody rushing to the window, which led to the oriole making himself scarce from the jelly feeder because it’s right at the window and he got spooked
So now I’m stationed diagonally to that window at ANOTHER window, sitting and waiting for him to come back
He hasn’t
It’s very uncomfortable to sit sideways on the couch with the camera positioned so I can snap a picture
