she should’ve noticed that. stupid power dampeners. she was wholly blaming that for not noticing the gun and danger because her silk sense should’ve told her that. “right, time to leave.” she was about to point her fingers to the nearest high building but her natural webbing apparently only reached the door. “shit. okay, that’s it. we have to run now.” they had to find a place to hide and get away from doom’s men, and they had to do it now.

well he can’t exactly blame the young man. while everyone else was living in doom’s world, bobby was directly working for the supreme overlord or whatever it was that he called himself. “ah, you should’ve seen him in college.” reed has dealt with the latverian in university before and his superiority complex was astounding, it was almost suffocating. “he tends to be overly dramatic about himself.” it was the only way he could describe his supposed roommate at this point. brilliant victor von doom may be, his ego had always been his downfall.

“trust me, i wish i was unconscious at this very moment.” not that he should be saying it out loud considering there were eyes and ears everywhere but jesus. this was some next level narcissistic bullshit that he had to go through. all four movies they had were ‘documentaries’ about doom and it was nauseating. that level of narcissism was crazy, even to enhanced being standards. “i would like to be unconscious for the next seven hundred hours or until we’re back to normal planet earth,” he said as he laid on one of the benches in the cinema waiting area that was hidden from the cameras.

instead of a coward, harry would rather describe himself as self-preserving. he knows when he should fight and he knows when he should make a retreat. he knows his limits as a person and he’s not going to push that limit when there are others who are far more qualified than him.

“please don’t scream in my office.” ever since genosha, matt realised he’s been talking to more mutants lately. before the whole genosha attack, emma frost had been the only mutant he talked to. apparently, helping at genosha changed the whole thing. now he had bobby drake in his office, his service dog isaac laying down beside him. “anything i can help you with that doesn’t involve screaming, mister drake?”

“if i knew, i would’ve told you by now!” she shouted right back as she back-flipped to avoid the weapon pointed her way. she immediately webbed the petty thief and ran towards bobby, hoping that the other brawler was distracted enough while she caught her breath. “i thought all the criminals from ryker were rounded up already.”

“no offence but i can’t exactly trust someone i don’t know.” harry was trying his best to be patient and nice, dealing with everyone as if they were potential business partners. but he’s not exactly sure why this other guy was trying to get harry to trust him when they barely knew each other. hell, harry only even knows the other guy by face. he’s not about to let the other person tell him about his currently missing best friend and his father figure. “i’m sorry but who are you?”
