15. What makes you pick up a fic, what makes it sound interesting?
WELL i will read just about any fic that comes out for a pairing i enjoy reading tbh. so it's more like hey! a new fic! let me read whatever it is!!! but i don't like heavy angst or certain characterizations or bad writing, so it's more like if i see a new fic has come out and nothing about the summary/tags/first few paragraphs turns me off about it, i'll read it. which is why my pinboard has over 3,000 saved fics LMAO!!! also if it's long and i can't read it right then or i'm in the mood for something else, i save it for later.
16. Name a fic that made you cry (or that made you come close).
there have been a lot of fics that have made me cry. the only one i can think of off the top of my head is the conclusion to the time traveler's wife fic bc i've been waiting for that ending for literally two years and it was EMOSH, OK? but it is one of many.
28. Who are your favorite fanfiction author(s)?
i subscribe to something like 140 authors on ao3, so there are a ton of authors that i read and love. a lot of it depends on what i'm in the mood for at the time, too. a few faves of many: waspabi, threeturn, pukeandcry
32. Do you leave reviews after reading fics? If so, what do they sound like?
i try to! generally it's along the lines of "OH MY GOD I LOVE IT!!!! wow i love it. let me tell you something, i loved it!" because i am not creative and also bad at articulating my feelings beyond "!!!!!". i don't leave comments all the time, though. and usually not if it's a fic i felt lukewarm about.
36. Has a fic ever left you unable to fall asleep or think about anything else?
i think so? i remember reading a few fics that were really intense and really great and made me temporarily unable to enjoy anything that wasn't that specific fic. but nothing keeps me from falling asleep usually. it's more that they've ruined all other forms of entertainment for a day or so.
