I think that’s super cool! If I may, I have but one suggestion: imagine LWJ as the Black Widow. LWJ in all black leather, kicking ass. LWJ as a Russian spy.

Granted, this has very weird implications upon the Marvel Universe, but I do think it would be a funny visual, if nothing else.

United North America flag idea: Feather as unique, new symbol? (warning - very half-baked, definitely not done)

from /r/vexillology Top comment: I like it since it’s not the typical American, European symbolism for North America. Actually acknowledging something that’s not European inspired, (yes as an indigenous person I’m well aware of the symbolism of eagles. But it’s used in a European heraldic way.)

Remember that background character I said I was going to (adopt) develop? Well, I did it.

I’ve named her Melanie (Ella is her nickname). I headcanon her age to be around 13-15, and here’s some other stuff I came up with:

She has a secret passion for playing the harp

She dreams of being a doctor (though her squeamishness sometimes gets in the way)

She’s one of the precious few people who can make Old Lady Crowley smile.

I’m on a roll so expect more headcanons. And possibly a fic. And for me to do this with more background characters.

Biological excursion: werewolves and their relatives

Pondwolves and mud flat wolves (also known as whatwolves) (zu Deutsch: Teichwölfe und Wattwölfe) are rare werewolf subspecies found in the coastal parts of northern Germany. Both species – and the entirety of werewolves in fact – are gravely endangered since there appears to be a direct correlation between a human being bitten by a dolphin and an innocent werewolf dying. This means that werewolf sightings are rare and no more than their ears have been observed so far, no matter how shallow the pond or mud flat. Most werewolves can indeed only be heard: pondwolves are known for their distinctive calls. They sound not unlike your common pond frog but have a more sinister, howling-like quality to their otherwise melodious voices. Warning: they are not to be mistaken for pond ghosts, a common mishap if you are not an expert! It has not been observed yet but publicly acclaimed scientists suspect that heavily breathing into a pond or mud flat while flapping your arms thrice up, twice downwards and then rotate them in an anticlockwise manner (zu Deutsch: man flappiert mit den Armen) might lead to the transformation of a harmless clump of water cells into a more harmful werewolf. Others agree that obscure magical rituals including blood (or tomato juice for those of a vegetarian and vegan persuasion) are the only way to produce such toe-biting menaces. Pond- and mud flat wolves reproduce by budding. We have read this in a top secret, very trustworthy MI6 file written by noble-prize winning Swedish scientists.
