I'm putting my classroom together today and goddamn. goddamn. there's so much stuff. thats really really good in some ways!! having boxes of pencils and pens and papers, and boxes of reading flash cards and books and math manipulatives means theres so much we can use this year!

but oh my god it's all shoved randomly in boxes (I shoved it all randomly into boxes bc I wasn't being paid when I came in this summer and I just needed it boxed so I could move it to the next classroom) and I have to ORGANIZE it and decide where it belongs

plus figure out a way to arrange all these desks and tables

and also I found out yesterday that in addition to 3rd, 4th, and 5th, I will also be getting the 2nd graders bc they couldn't get a sped k-2 teacher (the sped kinders and 1st graders are out of luck and are being put in other schools) so I have to figure out where to put tables/desks for them, too. and there's a LOT of 2nd graders so my class size just doubled

anyway. there is. a lot to do.

Het effect van oneMen

Als je een goed doel steunt dan wil je graag dat het geld goed wordt besteed. Maar bij veel goede doelen heb je geen idee wat er precies met je geld gebeurt. Hier heeft oneMen iets op gevonden. Bij dit goede doel kan je direct een 'pionier' en het project kiezen dat je wilt steunen.

Veylinx heeft getest of het inderdaad beter werkt als je direct kan doneren aan het project van een 'pionier'. Daarvoor zijn t-shirts van oneMen geveild waarvan de gehele opbrengst naar het goede doel gaat. Eén groep bieders kreeg een algemene boodschap. Een andere groep bieders werd verteld dat het geld naar pionier Esther gaat. Verder werd er vermeld dat zij het geld gebruikt om op te komen voor vrouwen in Kameroen. 

We vonden een interessant resultaat. Vrouwen blijken erg gecharmeerd te zijn van deze manier. Mannen, daarentegen, lijken hier een stuk minder gevoelig voor. Althans, in ieder geval voor het project van Esther.
