Mark Drabble
Summary: Your boyfriend ditches your offer to watch a game, but you go with your friends and bump into one of your classmates
Warnings: slight ✨profanity✨
You sighed as you checked your messages. It was the big basketball game tonight at your school and your boyfriend stood you up, again. What an asshole. Nothing you weren’t used to though.
You and your friends headed toward the gym and you fixed your blouse before entering. The bleachers buzzed with a mix of shit-talking and screaming from students and coaches alike and you desperately searched for an open spot when the glimpse of a wave caught your attention. It was filled with the same energy the crowd held and more. To your surprise, it was Mark Lee from your art class waving at you so eagerly.
Art was the only class you two had together and despite him being the new transfer this year, it was you who still felt a bit awkward when talking to him. He was pretty damn good-looking if you were being completely honest and not to mention, a total sweetheart. It only made it more nerve-wracking that the popular group who practically claimed him surrounded Mark at this very moment. Nonetheless, his bouncing frame signaled you to come over and you reluctantly deviated from your small circle to say hello.
You approached his group a bit more relaxed seeing that everyone was too busy on the game. A few of your classmates greeted you with handshakes and you held out your hand to Mark, but when you looked down to where he sat, his eyes gleamed and his arms were extended for a hug. You were slightly confused. You never hugged him before, but guess there’s a first for everything. You corrected your posture and leaned down only to trip on his shoe as you came close. Shit. When you opened your eyes, your breath hitched as you found yourself in an awkward position. You looked down at him with your hand braced on his broad shoulder and both his hands securing your waist in place like this was some scene out of a high school kdrama.
Now everyone who wasn’t paying attention suddenly was and it didn't help that your chest was spilling out of your shirt directly in front of Mark. You quickly straightened up collecting yourself and began apologizing profusely to the blond boy in front of you. Amazingly, he held a smile and reassured you despite his friends cheering him on and the girl who normally throws herself at him radiating pure rage. Your cheeks grew hot as you turned away on your heels and made your way back to your friends. What in the Wattpad...
