MASTERLIST
It’s too hot. Sweat slicks your skin as you lay on your bed, sheets kicked off to the floor. No fire burns in the hearth tonight, even the few candles lit feeling as if they give off too much heat. You’re bare in bed, your thin shift on the floor with the discarded sheets. The fabric, thin as it is, was too much against your sensitive skin. A cool rag dabs at your forehead, as if it can fight off the heat burning within you. Even a cold bath could do little against the fire raging beneath your skin.
Another cramp ripples through you, your thighs squeezing together as you curl in on yourself. It started early last evening, and you had gone to bed in the foolish hope you might be able to sleep through it. You never can, the need growing to a painful high before you finally get relief days later.
“Please, my lady.” The elf dabbing your forehead in a weak attempt to cool your fever says. “Let me fetch one of the Lords, they may be able to-”
“No!” You snap, putting your back to her. “I do not want any of them.”
They would not be able to help you, anyway. Not in the way you need. None of them could truly satiate the hunger growing within you, this curse of the second-born. They won’t release you to your own kind, having seen their hidden city, but they can’t help you either.
The door opens quietly, another body slipping in. Another candle is added to the fray, set on the dresser across the room.
“How is she?” The soft voice asks.
“The fever and pains have started, my lady.” The elf reports, soaking the rag in cool water once more before dabbing your forehead. “The herbs do little to help.”
“Let me,” the soft voice says again, this time closer.
“My lady-” The elf tries to argue.
“It’s alright. I will watch her.”
There’s a beat of silence, a moment of hesitation before the elf beside you moves, disappearing from your side. Another body takes her place, the door closing quietly as the first elf leaves.
“Idril,” you whisper, turning your head so you can see her.
She shushes you, pressing the cool cloth to your face. “I am here.” She glows in the low candlelight, her hair shining like gold.
You gasp as another cramp tears through you, your body curling in on itself once more. “It hurts.”
“I know. I know.” She strokes your sweat-soaked hair, continuing to dab the cloth across your skin. “I wish I could give you what you need.”
“You are all I need.” You pant, squeezing your thighs together tightly. “Please, Idril…”
She strokes your hair for a moment longer before she sets the rag aside, rising from her sheet. She removes her robe, laying it over the back of the chair before removing her shift, leaving herself as bare as you are. The mattress dips as she joins you on the bed, tugging you close to her body.
You let out a sigh at the feeling of skin against yours, your face pressing against her throat. Her floral scent fills your nose. It’s not the kind of scent your mind is seeking, but it’s the best you’re going to get. Your tongue darts out, tasting her skin, the natural scent of her seeping into your senses.
She trails a hand up and down your back, one of her thighs pressing between yours. You press down against it immediately, wetting her skin with your arousal as you start to rock your hips. You sigh against her skin at the friction providing you with some sensation, easing the aching just a bit. It won’t be enough, it’s never enough, but it does enough in the moment.
She lifts your face to hers as you continue to grind your hips against her thigh, pressing a soft kiss to your lips. You brush her cheek with your fingers, sliding them up to the sensitive tip of her ear. She shudders against your lips as you brush your fingers against the sensitive spot, her thigh pressing harder against you.
“Idril…” you sigh, clinging to her as you continue to grind against her thigh, the drag of your clit against her skin pushing you closer and closer to sweet release.
“I am here.” She murmurs, clutching you tight against her body as you tremble. “I have you.”
Your cry is muffled by her lips as you reach your peak, your hips pressing down hard against her thigh. Slick gushes out of you, wetting her skin more than it already is as your body clenches tight.
It’s enough to lift the fog briefly, the ache subsiding just a little. Just for a few moments, you have clarity. Idril’s fingers trail up and down your spine, her other hand pressing your face against her chest. You lay there, listening to the steady thump of her heart as you catch your breath.
“My sweet Atani.” She says, her lips brushing your forehead.
“You should go, before first light.” You murmur.
“I will stay with you however long it takes.” She says, drawing patterns on your back.
“If anyone finds us…” You know the consequences if anyone were to find you in such a position. The scandal, if Idril were found in the bed of...not a prisoner. That’s too harsh of a word for it.
“Then they will answer to me.” She says, pushing you over onto your back. “I know that was not enough.”
“Idril-”
Her finger on your lips stops you before you can protest. “I will be here with you through the worst of it.”
Her fingers slide down your body, trailing through the sweat slicking your skin. She is uncaring as she goes, hitching your leg over her hip before her fingers dip between your thighs.
“You’re always so wet.” She murmurs against your lips, dragging her fingers through your folds, gathering your slick.
“I need-”
She shushes you, kissing you softly. “I know.”
There’s little resistance as she slips two of her fingers into you, pressing them in as far as she can. You sigh into her mouth, your body clenching around the intrusion. Her tongue presses against yours as she starts to move her fingers, drawing them out before pressing them back in.
Your hips jerk, pressing against her hand as she curls her fingers, finding that spot inside of you. You whimper against her lips, your body trembling as you grip her arm, holding onto her like she’s the only thing keeping you glued to the earth. The press of her fingers inside of you, the curl of them against that spot is too much, light erupting behind your eyes in your desperation for some kind of relief.
You pull away from her lips, your back arching with a cry as you gush around her fingers, nails biting into her skin but she offers no complaint.
“That’s it,” She breathes, pressing a kiss to your head. You shudder in her arms, gasping for breath. “Better?”
You nod, still clenching around her fingers inside of you. “Yes.”
It won’t last, the clarity, the ease of the symptoms. It’s a temporary fix, but at least for a few moments you find relief. Idril doesn’t release you, nor pull her fingers free. She holds them there, gently pumping them in and out of you as the sky above the surrounding mountains begins to lighten with the coming dawn.
