♡ When you first came to Gondolin you were alone and didn't really know where else to go

♡ As you were the only human in a city full of elves, you often felt lonely and found it difficult to make friends at first

♡ The city also often seemed too big for you, so you retreated to its many gardens where you felt more safe and secure than in the streets

♡ It was also there that you met Idril for the first time

♡ She enchanted you in a way no one ever had before and you seemed to enchant her too

♡ At first you thought she was just being polite and didn't really find you interesting because you felt she was far too good for you

♡ Over time, however, you realised that Idril actually liked you

♡ She gave you compliments "I really like the way you did your hair, Y/N.", "Your eyes are really pretty."

♡ She spent almost every free minute with you, telling you stories or persuading you to go on picnics in the garden

♡ Idril introduced you to all the lords of Gondolin and soon you counted Glorfindel and Rog among your closest friends

♡ She often sought gentle physical contact with you, her hand brushing yours or sitting so close to you that your elbows touched

♡ She always looked over at you after such touches to make sure you felt comfortable with them

♡ and when you were, she would go further by placing her hand in yours or giving you a gentle kiss on the cheek

♡ So it only fell natural when she one day placed her lips on yours and asked you to court her

♡ And you agreed with a big smile on your face

♡ And so Gondolin slowly began to feel like home
