Ms. Twum is a student in the cancer sciences doctoral program at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Twum, #graduate student in #immunology, recently received the Emerging Scholars Award from the National Cancer Institute. In 2011, Ms. Twum was a #CURE scholar in the Roswell Park Summer Program and received #training in #oncology and immunology in the #laboratory of Dr. Thomas Schwaab. She is now working under the #mentorship of Dr. Scott Abrams to study the role of transcription factors in immune regulation of myeloid cell function and how they affect breast cancer progression. Ms. Twum received her BA in #biology from #Vassar College, where she studied the effect of climate change on corals.
