Qutub Minar and the iron pillar of Delhi Follow @shubhamtraveltales for updates on travel and food. Qutb Minar is a 73-metre tall tapering tower of five storeys, with a 14.3 metres base diameter, reducing to 2.7 metres at the top of the peak. It contains a spiral staircase of 379 steps. The iron pillar of Delhi is a structure 23 feet 8 inches high with 16 inches diameter that was constructed by a "King Chandra", probably Chandragupta II (reigned c. 375-415 CE). It is famous for the rust-resistant composition of the metals used in its construction. The pillar weighs over 5,865 kg (13,000 lb) and is thought to have been erected elsewhere, perhaps outside the Udayagiri Caves, and moved to its present location early in the Delhi Sultanate. - Source Wikipedia #shubhamtraveltales #shubhamphotog #travelgram #instagram #wanderlust #travelblogger #travelphotography #instatravel #instatraveling #instatravelgram #travel #igtravel #igers #awesomeview #beautifuldestinations #tourist #tourism #ig_shots #ig_shotz #bloggerlife #bloggerstyle #borntotravel #indiaclicks #incredibleindia #iphoneonly #qutubminar #heritage #heritageindia https://www.instagram.com/p/B41xelWnhAi/?igshid=1lc496voyr73k
