Deep in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park, the Colle del Nivolet is one of Italy’s best kept secrets. At 2,612 metres elevation it’s one of the highest roads in Europe and yet it’s still virtually unknown! Given its high altitude, it's no wonder this mountain road is off bounds for commercial tourism until the summer months, July and August. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: 🚆 First take the train from Turin to Rivarolo Canavese. 🚌 There you can get a bus, run by GTT, to Lago Serrù.
