From • @funkyspion ::: today we celebrate the independence day in Poland, so here is a collection of Polish national emblems from modernist buildings. This one comes from the Main Post Office in Gdynia but originally was placed in other post office where Germans during WW2 ordered to dismantle and scrap it. ⛳️ The golfer ⛳️ Nice work by @sainer_etam realised in 2013 for @trafficdesigngdynia mural festival. I actually took the first picture this week. The painting looks really nice. But a friend of me who has seen it in 2013 told me it lost its color. Therefore I made a research and indeed look at how it was in 2013!! (Swipe out to see the 2nd pic 🧐). It looked totally different! I was told that this mural was given by the owner to Traffic Design for the Festival. The only thing that the owner wanted was to have a painting around golf, as he is himself a golfer. Nice realization by Sainer. Sainer is a polish muralist. He is now located in Gdynia. ⛵️ Just discovered Gdynia through the eyes of @onsemadonse who shown me the city where she grew up. A city where she lives and could never leave. Gdynia is located on the Baltic Sea in Poland. It is a seaport of Gdańsk Bay. The city is part of a conurbation with the spa town of Sopot, the city of Gdańsk and suburban communities, which together form a metropolitan area called the Tricity (Trójmiasto), with a population of over a million people. In the summer time the city is overcrowded : it is very trendy to go to Gdynia. The architecture of the town is very specific with its dominant modernist style which emerged in 1926.
