Persona 3 & 5:Endless Night Collection (PS4) Not much to say about this pair of games. Story-wise, it takes place after the events of the Persona 4 dancing game. However, it takes itself much less seriously. After the P4 gang dance-fight against demons, the Velvet Room attendants get in an argument about which protagonist would be the best dancer. Since the Velvet Room is unbound by the rules of reality, the Persona 3 and 5 teams are plucked from before the end of their respective games to have a dance-off while they sleep. Dream logic applies, and only the Velvet Room attendants will remember any of this afterwards. Despite this, the P3 and P5 teams don't directly interact, and instead just allude to each other (which I feel is a missed opportunity). Gameplay-wise, this is just like the Persona 4 dancing game. It's a rhythm game based on remixes of music from the P3 and P5 games - hit the appropriate face buttons or directional buttons in time with the music. Having played the P4 dancing game on the Vita, I can say that these are best experienced on a smaller screen. There were sometimes too many notes onscreen for me to keep track of on the larger TV screen, and I could hardly pay any attention to the dancing in the background. As alluded to above, there is no story mode; instead, after reaching certain milestones, such as dressing up the characters or hitting a certain number of notes with perfect timing, unlock interactions between the characters. Once you've seen enough of these, the results of the dance-off are announced. I felt that the P5 interactions were more enjoyable (probably given the moody tone of the main P3 game), but I would not expect anyone to care about these if they were not already invested in the characters. The unlock criteria also felt kinda grind-y at times. The Persona series has some really excellent music, and these rhythm games are a fun way to enjoy remixes of it. My finds from the London Gaming Market today. All four plus entry costs me £29 in total, which is not bad. Didn't find any heavy hitters or anything particularly high on my wishlist below ebay prices, and didn't manage to trade away any of my spares this time. I'm particularly happy with my PS1 finds, though. Been looking for the Alundra games for decent price for a while now, and managed to score Alundra 2 for £10. Unfortunately, Alundra 1 was £30-35 from various sellers - above the ebay price. I have fond memories of Spider-Man 2, and it was one of the first games I re-bought when I started collecting. Just realized I haven't posted in almost a month! Here's all my latest pickups. Had the urge to play Uncharted but I've already played them all, so got the Lara Croft reboots instead. I have the first one on the PS3 but never played it, so I got the Definitive Edition on the PS4, and Artbook Edition of the sequel. Rabi-Ribi is a metroidvania game I've heard good things about, and thought it's worth a shot for under £10. Then, some love for the Switch with Cave Story + and Telltale's Batman. I played the 3DS version and loved it; will be cool to play the definitive edition on a home console, which comes with the soundtrack. The Switch version of Batman is more expensive, but that's because it's got the complete first season on the cartridge. Other consoles' versions just have episode 1 on the disc and allow you to download the rest. Finally, picked up Pokémon TCG on the Game Boy as part of my attempt to get a complete Pokémon game collection. It's missing the promo card, though, and I'm not sure if it's also supposed to have a TCG rulebook in addition to the manual.
