nightmare//yujin&hyunwoo
the male wasn’t usually the type to get thrown into bar fights. he usually relied off of his sharp tongue to handle his disputes rather than his precious knuckles, yet here he was in an alleyway kicked outside of a club. to his defense, the other drunken bastard was completely asking for it, completely in his face and rattling off slurred and meaningless words, completely begging for the first punch to be swung. it wasn’t his fault. hyunwoo wasn’t the bad guy. not in his perspective. he couldn't have been.
he was already starting to stroll away to look for a taxi and get a ride home, steps always slow, calculated, light but deliberate. but at the end of the alleyway there was a young girl who didn't really seem to fit or match the surroundings. and even though hyunwoo was only a few more steps away from passing by her, he stopped in his tracks, recognizing her for some reason. she seemed terrified. his head tilts and his expression falters, becomes clueless, almost innocent. he has to a blink a few times to fully grasp the situation. shit, he was the bad guy. and he’s sure the bloody lip and bruised fists aren’t doing justice to move him away from the negative light.
the streets are quiet, almost deserted, and it hits him that he’s lucky there wasn’t anyone there to take pictures or videos of the incident. his voice is hesitant, and more so on the meek side, as he tries to pretend whatever she just witnessed didn’t happen, “uh, you okay?” not the best thing to say in the situation, but nonetheless the idiotic sounding words slipped from his lips.
