Tell us why Sindre was going to kill Ilikay from your post yesterday night?

WELL!

Sindre is in a pursuit for eternal youth and has found some less than morally right ways to go about it. One of which involves sacrificing young jade bloods and stealing their youth. Since she can’t seem to catch her own descendant to do the ritual properly, she instead used to harvest young jades and use them to pause the aging process for a short time.Ilikay was supposed to be her big score because the younger and more pure the jade blood, the better the result. She would capture ilikay, sacrifice her, and doing so would finally prompt her descendant to take action against her and stop her once and for all. (Note that Ilikay’s PC handle is sacrificialYouth)

Buuuuut Ilikay ended up becoming more of a character than she was intended to be and using her as plot fodder just became impossible. It was @welastrolls who suggested the little gem of plot last night about why Sindre didn’t go through with the plan ~

They say you can tell how good a person was in life by looking at their wings as an angel. The whiter their feathers, the more pure their soul. While her’s were never pure white, they were the closest anyone had ever come….

>> You’ve been up for most of the night. Under the light of a very dim table lamp, you sit hunched over a tiny desk in the corner of your room; one of many broken pencils in your hand. You had to trade and barter for every single one of them; everything from food to chores had been given up for stubs of writing utensils....but it had been worth it.

>> You try extra hard not to wake anyone up as you sketch feverishly on one of very few sheets of paper. Beside you, the husktop you had dug out of Perdix’s things sits open and hums silently; your chat client open, but not doing much. Someone on the outside had helped you make sure it worked...the same someone you were drawing for. 

>> You kept the drafts of writing tucked inside one of the many war books that lined the shelf; folded and hidden from sight every time you received them, and now that you had read some, you had the time to illustrate...

>> This was probably the exact reason you had been falling asleep during lectures...but you can’t stop. You yawn and jerk yourself upright as you start to doze; knocking the lamp just a little with your horn. You freeze at how loud the noise seems...hopefully you didn’t wake anyone up...there’s still so much left to draw.

Sindre

<3 ~ For a while there, she wasn’t sure she was ever going to fill this quadrant again. Not being willing to trust anyone after all she’s done, Sindre saved her heart for someone she was pretty certain had died ages ago…and then he came back. She adores Dreden to no end, but there’s a part of her that wishes he was more troll than machine. She doesn’t blame him for it, she just wishes she could feel more than metal when he touched her.

<> ~ Whoever used to fill this quadrant has been gone for a very long time and she really hasn’t had to option to fill the void since she fled the Empire. It’s completely possible that someone could find their way into this quad, but she has a goal to reach before she goes looking for it herself.

c3< ~ You could honestly fit Dreden into this quad too, but since he has his place in her life, we’ll just call it open. Sindre doesn’t normally need someone to keep her from blowing up because she believes in subtlety, but when she does, she looks toward anyone who she considers grounded. All it would take is one level-headed someone to earn this place.

<3< ~ The last troll to fill this place also died a long, long time ago and she had a hand in it. Granted, she had very good reasons, but now her descendant has sort of come to fill the void. While she does want Arenae dead beyond anything, she also enjoys the chase and the challenge to a degree and they’ve formed a weird bond…maybe not enough to call it an official quad…seeing as she would slit her throat in a heartbeat…but still…

<3 ~ If you were to ask her who her Prince Charming is, she would describe Perdix right down to the last detail. What she sees in him might not be obvious to others, but it’s everything she loves and everything she wants. So long is he is there, Ilikay is happy, but despite how much she cares, sometimes she wonders if she’s what’s right for him. After all, she seems to bring him a lot of bad luck. She would never question that he cares about her, but sometimes she’s convinced that she’s the reason his life isn’t perfect.

<> ~ Ilikay has so many friends that she’s hard-pressed to give anyone this spot since she’s sure she’d hurt someone’s feelings. If she could have a hundred moirails, she would. Right now, Nayala is the closest to the proper definition, but again, she’d have to take a lot of time and thought to actually give this title away.

c3< ~ The chances that she will ever need this quad are pretty slim because the chances of her ever trying to kill or hurt someone are even slimmer. She is far too passive for this to be a recurring event and, if anything, is more likely to fill this quad for someone else than she is to need the quad in general.

<3< ~ A long time ago, this quad was sort of filled by a highblood back on Alternia, but only for the sake of getting rid of him. Being as that was her only experience with a true black quad, she doesn’t have much desire for it to ever happen again…buuuut there are a few that have started leaning that waaaay…a few trolls who threaten the things she considers hers…a few trolls that she’d take frustration out…who knooooows
