There has been an update in the abduction of Odyssia Simmons. 

The newspaper headlines have been going crazy, after a video surfaced online demanding money for the safe return of one Odyssia Simmons, the daughter of a Senator. The video shows her, beaten bloody and beyond recognition, but still breathing. The confusion with what exactly was behind the abduction has now been solved, and after the video was verified, Chiron confirmed that monsters were not behind the incident.

After a long period of waiting for instructions, the ransom was paid, and the young girl was returned to her father’s home in Washington DC. She went through a brief recovery period at home, but she has been returned to camp, as this has been decided to be the safest place for her while she recovers. 

All safety measures put in place during the time period in which the abduction took place have been reduced, and camp life is back to normal. For now.

The first War Council meeting has finished. 

Below is a brief summary of what had happened in the meeting. If anyone has questions, feel free to send them to the main!

Chiron has advised the counselors to remind their whole cabin that the disappearance of Odyssia Simmons will be treated as a monster abduction. This means that no one is allowed to leave camp, and the campers who are outside are advised to come back inside the borders for their safety.

The Hades, Nyx, and Deimos cabins are in charge of border protection. If a camper is willing to volunteer for a shift, they may approach Lucien Holmes, Dinara Rosen, or Morgan Cavanaugh to sign up for a schedule.

Daniel Martin, along with El Middleton, are in charge of the search party. They are looking for four more campers who are willing for the search attempt. There will be two groups of three that will be out of camp to search the surrounding area where the abduction happened in the city. The groups are such to ensure that the campers won’t draw too much attention. Whoever is interested may approach either of the two campers.

We advise that all campers stay put inside camp to avoid any other similar incidents from happening.

Welcome campers, one and all, to New Iliad RP’s first plot drop! A brief description is located at the top, under the read more is some more important information. Once you have read the post, please like it to show you have seen it. All cabin counselors must message the main confirming attendance to the mini event below.

On a gloomy spring day in New York City, two demigods wandered the streets, in search of some fun. What they didn’t realise was just how much fun they would end up having.

As El Middleton and Odyssia Simmons wandered through the streets, it didn‘t take long for something to sniff out the powerful blood with their guards let down. Shortly after grabbing some noodles, the two were attacked.

El was knocked out first, by an unknown assailant, and left on the streets of New York, concussed and clueless, while Odyssia was abducted without a trace. Any attempts at viewing CCTV footage to find a hint of what monster may have taken her is to no avail, as electricity within a mile radius was knocked out. There were no standard clues that you typically find at a monster crime scene, or at least, there weren’t when El came to.

A War Council meeting will be held on the 26th of May, at 8am EST. Anyone who has any difficulty making it online at this time can let an admin know, and we will try to accommodate those who will struggle. Those who need to be present are cabin counselors. Please note, if you are in a cabin without a counselor, the eldest camper in the cabin is de facto leader until one is decided.

We would like for most people to be there, simply to watch the drama unfold, but if you are unable to, this is understandable. The meeting will take place in a special channel on our Discord Server.

After a long hard day of combat training in the woods, we all need a bit of down time afterwards. What better place to relax and enjoy time with your friends than at the Campfire? With it’s warmth and multi-coloured light, Camp Half-Blood’s Nightly Campfire is the favourite of many campers, where joyful songs are shared, friendships are forged, and the bonds between siblings are strengthened. As the time passes on, all the weary campers find their problems melt away, with s’mores and a bit of ambrosia for the pain. 

Welcome to our very first Campfire event! These mini events, along with the Capture the Flag, will take place periodically. Below the cut is all the details you need!

I. When will this take place? The event will take place starting on the 23rd of March 8 am EST/1 pm GMT/9 pm GMT +8/12 am GMT +10 to the 27th of March 8 am EST/1 pm GMT/9 pm GMT +8/12 am GMT +10, which gives you ample time to start threads and make conclusions to them. Please ensure to interact with everyone, not just your character’s siblings. The Campfires are about unity, and enjoying the presence of others.

II. How will it work? During the event, all threads are to take place over one evening, the evening following the game of Capture the Flag during the previous event. These threads can be about anything, but should preferably be about certain interactions that took place during the span of the game, and how you character feels about the events of the week.

III. Tag. During the event, please tag all starters and threads with the tag #iliminievent001. This is to make sure that it’s all organised and no starters go unnoticed.
