Dead Tree Kids AU

So this is a world that was originally put into conception by me, but with the help of some friends in my discord who gave me some WONDERFUL ideas, I got the confidence to make it into a full blown AU!

The main premise is that Ink knew Nim before she died. And when she did and Dream and Nightmare were all that was left, he felt extremely upset. However, he lived with this for ages until he got into a big fight with Dream. This led to them fighting physically in which Ink would be the inevitable winner. Ink doesn’t destroy Dream’s soul, though. He looks over it and realizes that if he replants it alongside Nightmare’s soul, he can bring back the tree (and hopefully Nim.) He then goes to confront Nightmare, and after a long, LONG battle, Ink uses some underhanded tactics to win. He takes both souls and replants them, bringing forth a new tree and..

New Guardians..?

This is where Fengari (the purple one) and Illios (the yellow one) are made!! Disappointed that Nim is really gone, Ink takes the new guardians reluctantly and decides to raise them!! Also Error is here too.

Unfortunately, due to a mixture of Ink’s insanity and the fact that he replanted the tree, Nightmare, Dream, and Corrupted’s ghosts now haunt Ink constantly. But unlike the voices, Ink can’t just tune them out. Cause he can see them too. The twins are constantly trying to warn Fengari and Illios about Ink, but the two are unable to currently see them. Corrupted is focused on getting Ink to act on his homicidal desires and kill everyone again, but Ink claims it was a one time thing that he made a mistake doing.

Now Ink and Error have to raise the two little guardians together while Ink comes to grips with his actions and helps take care of the new tree. I was also thinking about making this into an ask!series!! So definitely let me know if you’re interested!!

Fact swap: world building! In my urban fantasy version of Earth, Death created a few three headed cats thousands of years ago cuz she got bored but then they multiplied like rabbits and now they’re technically the most common magical creature of all time like they could probably take out all the dragons in existence or smthng with numbers alone

Omg amazing! Are they like, regular sized cats? Or are they big like dragons? Can you keep them as pets?

My worldbuilding is uh...limited at best BUT here you go! My favorite of my magical creatures is the Illios. They’re really big Bird Friends, and they can spit fire. They’re kinda like a cross between phoenixes and crows. They’re big loyal protectors and are very Good.
