Bill and Alec bein cozy in the early morning. Alec having decided to make breakfast, so he's puttering around the kitchen when two hands find his hips. The warmth of Bill's chest presses to his back, and he almost giggles when the hands move to wrap around his waist. Instead, he grabs one of the hands around him and brings Bill's palm to his mouth, kissing small "good mornings" into it while Bill kisses the trail of freckles along his shoulders. V soft morning
i might have misread your prompt and only realised it right as i am typing this i apologise fucfshjinkscsx
This was going to be my entry for “Day 2 - Let’s date” for the Illogical Husbands week, based on Part 14 of Public Relations by the amazing @bewareofchris. You can also read this in AO3!
Drawing Bill with a beard was really fun and Alec is always a joy to draw.
illogical week (Bill Masters x Alec Hardy) Day 5- Job switch
Rated: G
I wanted to do more for this the illogical week from @illogicalhusbands prompts, but I couldn’t make time for it, but I really, really wanted to write this. I’ll put this on my AO3 later on along with the probably other 4 days i missed xD.

“I can’t imagine having your job,” Alec had said almost out of nowhere during one of the rare breakfast moments Bill managed to force his spindly boyfriend into having.
“Why not? I thought we had agreed that in concept it’s a very similar situation,” Bill said, folding his newspaper. “We both need to be prepared for an emergency as we could get called at unexpected hours, we have to deal with people on a daily basis, late shifts-”
“Yes-no but, I mean- I don’t think I could bare telling an expecting mother their baby-” Alec pursed his lips, stuttering for a moment before he found the right words to continue. “It’s hard enough as it is on my side, I wouldn’t want to have to experience it from the very beginning like you do.”
Bill sighed painfully. He knew what had prompted this, he just wondered why it had taken Alec this long to comment about it. A few days ago, Bill was called in the middle of the night to perform an emergency c-section to an unfortunate miscarriage. Alec had been the one to drive him to the hospital, arriving just before the ambulance had.
Bill Masters and Alex Hardy sketch study(???). Kinda wanted to know if I could draw this two grouchy bastards. I'm mighty satisfied with how they turned out.You can see this on Instagram as well
I know people are shipping Bill Masters with Alec Hardy, and I can somewhat get the appeal... I’m a few more fanfics into stepping into it, but why not then ship Bill Masters with Emmett Carver? They are closer -geographically speaking- and basically the same person. (Yes, I’ve seen both Broadchurch and Gracepoint).
I suppose because there’s more of Alec than Emmett but it’s sort of a point of curiosity for me xD
Illogical Husbands Week
Day 1: Enemies To Lovers
Bill sets one of the low ball glass on the table between the chairs and sits down, holding his drink. "Nice night," he observes quietly.
Alec takes the glass that was sat down for him and nods. "‘Tis."
Bill takes a sip of the bourbon he's imported in and closes his eyes to savor it. "Oh, that's good."
When Bill opens his eyes, Alec is looking into the amber liquid in his glass as if concerned about it. The detective takes a moment, licks his lips in a way that makes Bill look away suddenly before Alec drinks. Bill's eyes come back around as the edge of the glass leaves Alec’s lips.
"That is very good." Alec agrees and clears his throat. "Little bite to it."
"Most of them do." Bill smiles. "Do you remember a year ago? We stood right here, screaming at each other." He snorts, “I don’t even recall what we were fighting about.”
"I hated you. You were being difficult, as usual," Alec nods, "Was damn sure if I could only kill one person on earth, it'd have been you, at the time."
Bill smiles at him and sips his glass. "That's sweet of you to say."
Alec leans back in his chair, looking unconvinced. "You hated me just as much." He takes another drink. “Don’t be so daft as to lie to my face about it.”
"Hate is such a strong word, Alec," He nods "I was not fond of you no, still would have put you in my bed regardless, and I certainly didn’t want you dead."
"That's because you have no standards." Alec bites back. “For those, you take to your bed.”
"Or because my standards are just high enough to be good," Bill responds. "You don't hate me now, do you?" It seems trivial to ask, but Bill wants to hear him say it.
Alec looks into his drink, doesn't make eye contact, but shakes his head. "No, I don't hate ya."
"I guess that's something, and you're in my bed nearly every night now, so I think that’s a win on my part."
Alec scoffs. "I should just go to an addiction group." He nods, "Get over this, over you. Learn some steps to be rid of stupid sex doctors."
Bill smiles at him because Alec, being addicted, is adorable. "Why would you go and do a foolish thing like that?" Bill offers his hand.
Alec looks down at it for a moment, and then takes the hand, locking their fingers together. "I wouldn't," Alec admits. "Not really." His threats are empty.
Bill nods and stands to pull Alec along with him. "Come inside. I want to show you how grateful I am for that."
Alec smirks. "Oh, I can't wait to see how you express your gratitude."
Bill smiles brightly at him. "Oh, I think you'll be singing my praises." He leads them inside and locks the door.
