Using the 7 categories of the Information Technologyecosystem I decided to focus on the software side of the ecosystem. In our growing economy focusing seems to be on software engineering. Luckily programming is something I have fun doing. My favorite type of programming is web, using languages such as PHP, HTML, CSS, RUBY, and JAVASCRIPT. Although web development may not currently seem like a lucrative career path in the software industry. I do have reason to believe that web engineers will a niche in the markets of the future.
Ask yourself this question what’s the last computing device you used to accomplish any task that didn’t have access to the World Wide Web? I’ve had the opportunity to ask some collogues this exact question, these are the answers I received: I went rock skipping a few months ago, a Texas instrument calculator in high school, my notebook, my sneakers, etc. You get the point, the web is ubiquitous! My goal is to develop applications that will enable people to do great things.
