We've all been in a situation where our pet manages to get to some chocolate or brownies. The panic that follows is unexplainable.

Here are a few facts to keep in mind about chocolate toxicity.

Always remember, the darker or more bitter the chocolate, higher the risk of toxicity. A bit of Milk chocolate is hence almost never fatal to life but can still cause a lot of other issues.

If your pet eats chocolate, the vet will make him/her vomit to reduce the absorption. They may also need IV fluids or activated charcoal tablets depending on the amount eaten.
