Learning Japanese language or not, one can hardly deny watching all those lovely cartoons (better known as anime in Japanese) in our childhood days. Be it Doraemon, Ninja Hattori, or Dragon ball z, we all have spent a greater part of our childhood with them.
Moving a step further now it is time to enjoy a Japanese anime film for the first time in theatres in India!
天気の子 (Tenki no ko) or Weathering with you (literally: Child of Weather) becomes the first-ever Japanese Anime (animation) Film to be screened for the Indian audiences on popular demand!
The airing of the starts today - October 11, 2019.
The film, written and directed by Makoto Shinkai whose Kimi no na wa (Your name) is still a rage among anime lovers, is set in Japan during a period of exceptionally rainy weather and tells the story of a high school boy who runs away to Tokyo and becomes friends with an orphan girl who apparently can manipulate the weather.
In Kolkata the movie is available (with English subtitles) at the following locations:
