Chapter 7 of Little Jester: planning
“Ok so, here’s what we know. We suspect that Custard cookie has been taken by Shadow Milk cookie. Why we don’t know. How we also don’t know.” Gingerbrave talked as he paced around.
“And we’re just speculating that shadow has custard. For all we know it could be a lie in order for us to go there and lose.” Wizard piped in. “We need to confirm that Shadow Milk has Custard before we jump into this blindly.” He says.
“Wizard is right…”
Custard was playing a board game with shadow milk. “Daw. I lost..” Shadow said as Custard giggled and cheered. “Good game my little jester!” Custard smiled. “What do you want to do now?” Custard was asked. He thought. He wasn’t quite sure what he wanted to do now. He looked out the window.
“Can you read to me?” Custard asked. Shadow milk paused. He was taken aback by the small cookie’s request. He hadn’t read to anyone let alone a child in eons.
“You want me to read to you?” Custard nodded. Shadow Milk led Custard to his library.
“Whoa! You have so many books!” Shadow Milk waved his hand summoning the books that were appropriate for a young cookie like custard. The size was small. “Why those books?” Custard asked.
“A lot of my books are study books or books that are not for kids..” he said slightly looking to the side. (Smut. He’s talking about smut)
Custard looked up at shadow milk confused but quickly shook it off. He quickly chose a book. Shadow milk sat down on a chair and Custard sat on the arm of the chair.
As Shadow Milk read to Custard he could feel the slight burn from Custard’s magic. It didn’t take a genius to figure out Custard had the same magic as his great grandfather. Light magic. Magic that had a barrier against the cookie from preforming magic under the dark category. And Shadow’s magic was Dark Moon magic. He would be unable to teach him any of his spells. Unless…
Later that night when he had put the young cookie to bed he began researching wondering if and how he could change his magic type. After hours of searching for the answer he got his wish. There was a way. But Shadow had to act fast as his window was closing. But soon Custard would be trained by the best in the business at not only Dark Moon Magic, but the arts! Maybe one day he’d follow in his mentor’s footsteps.
