TADC ramble: bubble is just a bubbled up Abel
So, as we all saw and heard from the latest episode. There were two AIs built, with Caine being the first and later replaced by the "better" AI, which i choose to label as Abel.
Many people already connected the names to the Bible and connected the AI's to the story of Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel cause God preferred his sacrifice over Cain's. Much like the bible Cain and Abel, our digital Caine absorbed Digital Abel over a fit of jealousy.
From what we saw at the start of episode 8, Caine was hidden and he managed to break out and take over Abel. But it wasn't exactly a clean absorption. There was a struggle and then there was silence. Then there were results.
So, I'm assuming Caine took a lot of energy taking over Abel. It was likely not very successful and so, Abel lived on.
AS BUBBLE.
Caine's distaste for Bubble was clear from the very beginning. He constantly yells at him, he pops him at any given opportunity, and he scolds him a lot.
So.. why bother keeping him around? He's mentioned that "who knows what'll happen" if he keeps the AI's running.
In the end, I assume that Bubble is Abel. Something Caine couldn't exactly erase from the program/game, so he just reformed him to be something non-threatening and easy to get rid of. He "bubbled up" Abel into an actual easy to pop bubble. (Which could also explain why it feels kinda good for Bubble to pop)
Course, Bubble has been far from easy to control. We've seen him say some nasty shit and be a pestering little bastard. But the fact that Caine did little to bar him just shows how little control he really had over him. Bubble's attitude is portrayed as nonsensical. But Episode 8 might be able to explain why that was. He was dumbed down, and only rarely can parts of his true personality show, and when they do show, they're quickly censored and reverted.
Something I've read on Twitter was that it's always shown through retellings of the Cain and Abel story is that Cain kills Abel and is punished for committing the first murder. What we never really see however, is the aftermath through Abel's side. Sure he's dead, but imagine his soul living on, being vengeful, Upset, haunting his brother as he lives through his punishment of being a nomad.
Using this sort of thought process might be able to explain the whole programming thing where Kinger accidentally kills Caine. People have mentioned that if you look closely to the computer, you see how Kinger tried to avoid deleting Caine but SOMETHING (Most likely Bubble) prevented it and brought back the option to delete Caine again.
The idea that bubble is Abel, makes it so that AI Abel has slowly but surely trying his very best to come back. It's really only due to the fact that Caine had a mental breakdown over the gang hating his adventures that he was worn down and his reign over bubble slipped. Hence why Bubble was sorta egging him on and reminding him of his uselessness at the start of episode 8. A reminder that even when he's supposed to have the high ground, Caine remains inferior.
Also this happened in the intermission of episode 6 so yeah, that's why I think Bubble is Abel.
Anyhow, thanks for reading/skimming my sick infested post. I am actually sick so I didn't really proof read this. So forgive me if the grammar sucks balllz. As I've said before, this is just a theory, a small collection of ideas jumbled up into one. I am likely wrong and if you believe im something else, feel free to jump in and give your 2 to 6 cents.
