can I also just say that they set up and planned jay’s storyline so disgustingly well i might just have to retract every complaint ive made coz im in shock . Like wtf . you’re telling me jay has spent years not knowing who his family is and once he DOES get them and his memories back he’s desperately throwing himself into danger trying to save every single person who’s ever mattered to him . Everything he does this season comes back to the same motivation : never losing his family again, and proving he’s worthy of having them .every act of kindness, every reckless decision, its all just him trying to show that he deserves to have them .which just makes me sick to begin with ohhhh my gosh u idiot theyre ur family of course they love you unconditionally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And then in the finale when they parallel him to zilvar in that they were both manipulated by a greater evil (the gong/weapon of desolation but also ras tbf) ; both exploited through their loneliness and vulnerability, both completely convinced they’re doing the right thing . jay sees someone who’s essentially become exactly what he could’ve been… AND WAS for a while ; and he still can’t save him

. AND THAT FAILURE THEN LEADS DIRECTLY TO LLOYD’S ‘DEATH’ . of course jays not gonna go to his memorial OF COURSE he’s not gonna believe hes gone . He only just got his family back hes not gonna let them go that easily .even if its pure denial of course hes gonna lose his shit at the thought of his brother being gone and it being even slightly his fault .And dont get me started on libber absolutely haunting the shit out of the narrative the entire way through this part.. s5 is gonna fuck so hard im sorry im so excited theyve set it up so well

okay so much to unpack here

i can’t remember if we knew for sure she was the malpractice but it was definitely suspected bc of the spinal tap

also taylor giving out even more crumbs that mel missed frank in a big way
