today in: I feel like a shitty doctor

There was a deaf patient and I was just like. Trying my best to mimic stuff - instead of speaking her language like i should - and talking to her companion (who was there to translate stuff but that also didnt speak Brazilian sign language so was just typing stuff in her phone) and I felt like a fucking unprepared asshole

It also made me feel worse that she clearly expected it. Like, clearly the norm is a doctor who isn't prepared and I hate everything
