this is the the purge movie they would make if they were baller. maincharacter normalguy is getting ready to purge-proof his new house the day before purge night just like everyone else in his slightly hoity toity neighborhood when he realizes he completely forgot to pick up a bunch of diy stuff he told his wife hed get for this remodeling theyre doing. he runs out to home depot but quickly realizes he has failed to consider those crazy pre-purge-night crowds. in the chaos, he runs into a former coworker of his (fired because of hr complaints about his conduct) who sees him buying power tools and a sledgehammer and a shovel (for the garden) and gets the wrong idea.

and this old coworker and him never really hit it off before for numerous reasons but suddenly he gets super friendly with maincharacter. and then he takes him aside and he whispers an invitation to join him and his buddies as a wandering purge night murder squad. they wear party store masks and stand outside the window of affluent suburbanites holding shotguns and such. that sort of thing.

technically this stuff isnt really cool to talk about the day before a purge night because as long as its not purge night they can still be arrested and tried for conspiracy to commit murder (there was a whooole court case about this. the defense argued its not illegal to plan otherwise illegal activities on a night when they knew the activities wouldnt be illegal, but the counterargument was that there was no such charge as "conspiracy to commit murder on easter" or "conspiracy to commit murder on september fifth" so as long as it was not currently a purge night, the crime of conspiracy was still a crime regardless of the date the actual crime of murder was enacted in full, and that argument won) so maincharacter knows that if he clears up the misunderstanding and turns down ex coworkers offer, hes probably gonna be getting a little purge night visit to keep him quiet. so he just goes along with it and is thus conscripted into service of a wandering band of mask wearing purge night murderers planning to invade his own new neighborhood. ive seen just one purge movie and its not the first one, by the way. also ive had some substances.
