lads i’m trying to write but there aren’t enough hours in a day

I haven’t posted much about my reading lately other than to complain about having no time to do so, but i wanna talk about this it

For a while I was confused on where the story was going. Like we get introduced to Ji Lei pretty early on and I figured he might be a main antagonist, he definitely drives part of the plot, even lingering in the narrative even after death, but i just wasn’t expecting him to die so early on, and while the method of execution was quite appetizing I wasn’t able to derive any actual pleasure from it.

After that i was like okay then who do i watch out for, the plot became a succession of chaotic events, where i wondered where was this going and i was also left trusting no one. And just i was heavily distrusting Xi Hongxuan he too dies, and im caught in a endless loop of ‘okay, i think i figured it out… wait, never mind’ whatever i felt like we where aimlessly wandering then it clicked on my brain that everyone is just playing the long game, or at least i think they are…
