the problem laid in the hands of his parents because they were the ones who had the upper hand in the household and they were the ones that could resolve the issue.

instead of closing his eyes and waiting for sleep to take over, yeonjun laid completely idle on his bed. call him a coward or whatever you want but this particular boy feared the future.

if he closed his eyes,

his loving family could be teared apart the moment he opened his eyes.

if he closed his eyes,

he would’ve lost either one of his parental figures the moment he opened his eyes.

the countless possibilities and occurrences that could take place in the future, made yeonjun fearful of what was to come next.

he was just a boy, experiencing overwhelming matters at such a young age, but yet to explore the depths of the world he stood before.
