okay so chimney did get his job back after his accident, and buck didn't.

i mean buck's blood clot might be more serious than chimney's stab wound(s), so it's reasonable to sit buck out for maybe a few more months.

but the least they could do for buck was to give him reassurance.

reassurance that he still has a place in the 118 firehouse.

reassurance that he'll be able to do the one thing he loves again, once he's healed properly.

reassurance that he still has his saved, unreplaced and untouched vacancy to be a normal firefighter again.
