That's Oda
It's always Oda
No matter how much Chuuya loves Dazai, no matter how much Dazai loves Chuuya, he'll always be in Oda's shadow
Romantic or platonic, the love Dazai has for Oda forever outshines the love he has for Chuuya--
He quite literally chose Oda over Chuuya, chose to leave at Oda's request instead of staying with Chuuya
Look at any official art with all three of them and see Chuuya glaring at Oda, the seething resentment and jealousy he must've felt when he learned the reason his friend abandoned him
Dazai forced the Sheep to abandon Chuuya, persuaded Chuuya to join the mafia, earned his loyalty and friendship... And then, because someone else, because a nobody dog of the mafia happened to ask him to, he left, just like that, like Chuuya was nothing
Oda was a wonderful human. Oda did the right thing by asking Dazai to leave and Dazai did the right thing by listening
But in so doing he showed Chuuya that no matter what, he'll always be an afterthought to those around him.
he’s heard that some people seem to enjoy eating dandelions in a salad. on top of that, dandelion soda, often with burdock, is apparently a thing that exists. so—— what does geno do with this logic?
he eats a whole-ass dandelion head outside of the inn, of course. it... isn’t great, but it isn’t bad? it’s definitely not his cup of tea, but he surmises that it’d do in a pinch —— so he eats another one to solidify his opinion in his mind. yep, still not the greatest, but not the worst.

when you’re habving fun reading a manga and youre subjected to a slur and you have to wonder whether the original japanese text was like that or the translators made a conscious choice to put that word there
