...Convincing a tired Snape to rest.

You were in the teacher's room grading papers when a tired looking Severus walked in. He hell into one of the chairs with a sigh. You looked up, a slightly puzzled look on your face. Never had you seen the brooding potion professor like this. He looked absolutely exhausted. "you alright Sev?", you asked looking up from the papers you were grading. "I'm fine" he replied, his normal monotone voice sounding tired. Obviously, you didn't believe him. Feeling concerned you asked, "why don't you go rest". When he didn't reply you said "come on Sev it's not like you have any other classes today". Standing up he said "if I must". "yes you must," you said with a triumphic smile on your face.

Imagine the Head of Slytherin offering you some small comfort

Imagine Professor Snape pacing the aisles during one of your classes, inspecting the potions and handing out harsh but necessary comments, murmured compliments and spoken instructions. Imagine his sharp eyes zoning in on you discreetly wiping a tear away. Imagine him already knowing the cause of your grief and deliberately picking your aisle as the next one to travel through. Imagine him discreetly handing you a handkerchief wordlessly before making his way back to the front of the classroom. Once there at his desk, he gives you an imperceptible nod.
