The first image is a cropped portion of a painting my friend brought into our class for critique day. When I saw this I immediately started to tear up because it gave me such a rush of emotion. Ya see, my significant other lives across the country from me and every time I go back to school, I go through a tough few weeks of adjusting to living without them in the dorms. Seeing this painting brought into my head a crystal clear image of the long road next to their house that ran along a field and lead to the ocean. Maybe it is just because I'm a painter but there's something so fucking beautiful when it comes to art, especially painting. It's a 2d construction of colored pigment clay balls that lies and convinces you that it is something it's not which opens up the possibilities endlessly and I hope one day you find a piece of art that touches your soul the in the deep little caverns that don't see much light anymore. If not, I hope you find someone who can look at you the way I look at paintings
