Five years ago today I arrested and was resuscitated by my incredible, unstoppable mother, @caroline.davies350 ... did you know that 90% of people who require CPR die? Yet here I am; still breathing, still living. Beating the odds, as usual. One of my doctors says I’m so good at cheating the numbers I should take up gambling! I have my mother to thank for the fact I’m still here today. I’m grateful to the paramedics and doctors who also resuscitated me that day, but if my mum hadn’t started CPR, I’d have died and stayed dead. Instead, I just took a few brief breaks from living, before returning to my regularly scheduled programming. I’m not sure I’ve ever actually said it before, mostly because that day has inspired such severe PTSD that I actively try not to remember it, but thank you for saving my life, mum. Thank you for being my lungs and heart for a little while. I’d have missed out on so much. Thank you for my life. I love you ❤️ I can’t say anymore than that, because remembering that day is extremely traumatic... I just want to tell you all, appreciate it. Appreciate this incredible thing called life. Because one day, it’ll stop. #fiveyearanniversary #cprsurvivor #imatillhere #imstillbreathing #imstillkickingass #itsallthankstomymum #thankyoumummy #appreciateitall #appreciatelife #becauseonedayitllallstop https://www.instagram.com/p/BpDKBaWBQfP/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=cslqsb0rzgt6
