Transformers headcanon prompts
— ♔ — Cybertronian optics are predominantly energon-blue in hue, although this does not make it the normal color. Merely, the majority. Transformers may always emerge from the Well sparked with other shades, ranging from darker blues, to bright golden yellows, even purples, or the lesser-known green, while white is considered the rarest.
However, red was not natural in Cybertronian CNA until after the first exposure to Dark Energon; the correlation is unknown, as scientists have not had a chance to explore, but it is the alterations of D.E. to the CNA that has introduced it as a viable color.
Until then, red optics were only seen in the lower classes that worked in the industrial castes and sects of various cities. These members of society did the worst and more dangerous of jobs, often burning through their optical lenses faster than their replacement rations were reset. Because of this, the red hues of the under-classes became synonymous with oppressed members of society, and eventually the Decepticon movement entirely.
Any Transformer may have their lenses replaced and alter the hue of their luminary high-beams, but their default optic hue will remain hard-forged into their schematics unless their optics are three-quarters replaced. Vanity or tribal association were often the primary reasons for the alterations, however some changed out of necessity as stated above.
— ♔ — Through the course of the war, Optimus has kept a steady contingent of soldierly partners. Most of these partners were members of his elite team, of whom included: Ironhide, Ratchet, Bumblebee, Jazz, and Prowl. Optimus always performed the best in their company, or Ultra Magnus, or whom they functioned as a cohesive unit that seemed to read each other’s thoughts in ways similar to how Soundwave was rumored to possess.
