For #throwbackthursday, here’s Ariel...again...but this time, it’s the steampunk warrior version I created for Immortal Con 2016, where I was the featured cosplay guest! I would love to fix up and re-shoot this costume someday. The fishnet and shell waist drape is my favorite! Immortal Con remains so important to me and I hope it comes back again one day. My mom is a breast cancer survivor, and since Immortal Con’s mission is to donate proceeds to breast and ovarian cancer research, representing this convention with a cause meant the world to me. I chose to make this costume to represent a princess becoming a warrior, fighting back against a horrible disease. The con hit so close to home for me and meant so much—and I know it did the same for so many others!
