Was it ever revealed what the images down the middle meant/represented?

Miss Imogen Westcott, spare hand for marriage, ma'am?
Only just managed to work up the courage to watch playthroughs of the low nerve routes for the last ILB chapter. Am in pieces. I honestly don't think I've ever been so attached to a whole group of fictional characters before. I don't know what I'd have done if I failed the nerve test, but I think I only just passed, thank god.
PB, give the ILB writing team a massive raise, this is the best current book, if not the best on the whole app. I'm still crying.
So I finally finished ILB and a few things...
I'm replaying to kill Richard over and over and over and over again because doing it once was not enough...(that one choice when the timer went away in 2 seconds, bitch I-)
Even though it has never happened to me (and I pray it never does), I felt Josephine's pain when she was talking about how Astrid sticked a stake in her heart and not being able to die for years and her body was unresponsive, but it will never justify her reasoning for wanting to kill Arthur and wanting to kill everyone in Pine Springs, including the innocent...Arthur didn't know things we're gonna get so outta hand and hE'S TRYING!!
When Josephine killed Vincent and Astrid....
On God, I did NOT give two shingles of a sham of a fuck
Josephine is GORGEOUS and a savage for spitting in Kelley's face
Yay for Kelley's death too
Um, that sex scene with Tom!! HE OFFERED TO SHOWER WITH MC!! I HOLLERED!!!
Scotter and I live happily ever after with our SO's
Oh shit, that scene when MC and Co when they were at the dock after Astrid died and Josephine left to go find Arthur and MC was telling everyone to leave and get out of town....I had to pause because I was ugly crying
Nobody died in my story
And seeing Jocelyn's fucked up face made my day....you get what you give
And the question mark at the end saying "The End...?" Bring it on Pixelberry, I'm ready for another one
Ya, I screamed
Badges of Dishonour
Author Note: This has been rattling around in my skull for weeks now, so to help my recovery now that we’ve had that amazing finale, here’s something a bit silly to take the edge off.
Word Count: 896
Book: It Lives Beneath
Summary: Officer Parker Shaw: Certified Square. After everything that’s happened, surely he’s earned the right to let a little loose and have a little fun? The gang certainly think so. The only problem is, Parker needs a bit of persuading.
Luckily, everyone knows how you motivate an Eagle Scout.
“What,” Parker said, pointing an accusing finger, “Are those?”
Four too-innocent faces looked back at him from around Tom’s kitchen table.
“What are what?” Danni’s eyes were wide and curious, but her lips were quivering in an effort not to laugh.
“Those!” Parker scowled and gestured at each of them in turn.
Vivienne glanced down and gave an exaggerated start, as though noticing the brightly coloured patch on her shirt for the first time. “Oh! That!”
“Yes! That!”
“Well, we had such a good time on our picnic last week that we decided to commemorate it.” Tom leaned back in his chair, proudly running a thumb over the fabric. Now that Parker looked closer, the patch was embroidered with a small rabbit set against pale green. “Memories, you know. Plus, I ripped my pants vaulting the fence, so I think I earned it.”
“And the rest of us had to see that, so we definitely earned it.” Vivienne dodged as Tom lunged at her.
“Picnic?” Parker frowned. “You don’t mean the one you were planning on breaking into the clifftop gardens for?”
“You would have loved it!” Imogen beamed at him. “It was so peaceful, the flowers were out, we watched the sunrise…”
“You broke in at night?”
“That’s when it’s quiet,” Danni said. It sounded to Parker as though she was holding back from adding a ‘duh’ on the end.
“I didn’t think you were actually serious about breaking in!”
“Actually, what you said was ‘I’m not coming and I don’t want to hear you planning anything illegal’ while sticking your fingers in your ears,” Tom said. “Which we weren’t, it’s a public garden. They just close the gate at six.”
“Yes, but…”
“But we didn’t want to compromise your strong moral principles,” Vivienne piped up.
“Thank you, but…”
“Despite you saying that you wanted to be more fun.” Tom grinned.
“Okay, but…”
“But it would have been so much better if you had been there!” Imogen said. “It was lovely. There were even rabbits playing at the edge of the woodland as it got light.” She gestured at her badge.
Parker hesitated. “Really? There aren’t many rabbits around here.”
The four of them nodded. “Baby ones too,” Danni added helpfully.
Sighing, Parker ran a hand over his hair, frowning a little. “I’m… glad you all had a good time,” he said, his jaw a little tense.
Vivienne cocked her head to one side and smiled at him. “Is everything okay, Parker?” she asked, her tone light and breezy.
“Fine.” Baby rabbits…
Danni turned away from him to face the rest of the group. “So before all that we agreed two sharing items each and a bonus to anyone who manages spaghetti.”
Tom nodded. “A Hollywood Heist and The Italian Job.”
“The…” Parker gave his head a little shake. “What are you on about?”
“Well, you know what the price of popcorn’s like these days…” Imogen said, giving him a conspiratorial nudge.
Parker was silent for a few seconds. Then he let out a gasp. “You can’t sneak food into the movie theatre!”
“Not without preparing, no,” Danni said airily. “The guy on the door takes his job far too seriously.”
“But you’re not supposed to…”
“Is there a rule against it?” Vivienne asked, leaning down to pull something out of her bag.
“Well, actually…”
Vivienne set two fabric patches on the table. One showed an old film projector, the other a classic Mini Cooper.
“Ooh, good choices!” Imogen said, beaming.
“You…” Parker swallowed, still staring at the badges. “You’ve got a whole set of these.”
“Amazing what you can find on the internet, isn’t it!” Vivienne stood as the coffee machine beeped and poured a cup, which she pressed into his hands with a bright smile. “We’ve got hundreds!”
“Five of each,” Tom added pointedly.
Parker hesitated, glancing between the badges on the table and those adorning his friends’ chests.
“You did say you wanted to loosen up…” Vivienne jumped up to sit on the kitchen counter, her legs swinging. “Enjoy survival…” Her eyes glittered. “Break a rule or two…”
“Yes, but that was…”
“When you were high on adrenaline and drunk on bad beer?” Imogen grinned. “Come on, Parker, we pinky swore on it!”
“Which was, honestly, very insensitive and discriminatory,” Vivienne said, waggling her nine fingers at him. “So you owe me anyway.”
There really were an awful lot of badges… Parker chewed his lip. “I…” He took a deep breath. “I guess I never really liked popcorn that much…”
They all beamed at him and Parker slumped into the chair Tom nudged out for him.
“Right,” Danni said, resting her elbows on the table. “Now that Officer Square is on board, I’ve looked at the surveillance they’ve got at the other place and I think we’re going to need to shoplift a few tools before we break and enter…”
“What?!”
Danni took one look at Parker’s horrified expression and burst out laughing. “Your face!” she howled.
Parker opened his mouth to speak. Then closed it again. Finally, to try and change the subject he pointed at a small badge sewn onto Tom’s shirt just above the hem that he hadn’t noticed before. “What’s that one for?” The background was dark blue, with an image of the moon embroidered in white.
Tom shrugged. “I told you. I ripped my pants vaulting the fence.”
ILB Fic Teaser!
It Lives Beneath ends today. I'm not ready, you're not ready. I refuse to say goodbye.
So... Would anyone be interested in a fic of the whole crew set a little while after the book ends?
It's a bit dumb, but it's funny to write and it's been in my WIPs and in my head for weeks now, so I'll just leave this here as a hint.
First part hopefully coming tonight, or tomorrow if I'm still crying tonight after the finale.
If anyone would like to be tagged, hit me up ☺️
