A Solution For Aging Nations
There is an ever growing number of the elderly and this is a modern problem that designers are only now beginning to look into fixing. Of course, the older generation can easily go to Walmart or look on Amazon and find numerous types of wheelchairs for sale from cheap used simple ones to pricey electric ones. The more and more as people grow older and are dependent on different mobilities, such as the cane or wheelchair, as well as keeping these older folks in contact and connecting with their families. This is where "Connected" the wheelchair comes in. The concept for this design comes from the idea that just because someone is stuck in the chair, does it mean that that should prevent them from other simple tasks such as going for a walk with their grandchildren. Connected mixes the function of a car seat or stroller with a wheelchair, therefore users can manage to spend quality time with their family and friends in the great outdoors.
