Aymeric accompanied the invitation with a smirk of his own, partly obscured by well-tousled hair gone wild at Mahl’s urging. “I’ve quite got my hands full, Love, if you’ve a mind to help…”
In spite of the near-overwhelming temptation, Nahte paused to grin at them both. Something softer had crept into his gaze. Aymeric saw his own aching sentiment echoed back. To love and be loved, an old poet had said. He couldn’t recall the rest. But he felt it, still. Strongly.
Nahte slipped into arms reach and climbed his way onto the desk beside Mahl. A flushed cheek slid across his forearm, rumbling with purrs. Coiling around the Sunseeker, Nahte made a slow, slithering pace to pin him in from behind as claws scraped against Mahl’s shoulder.
