Part 1
Warnings: fear, past drugging, vomiting, implied fever, mention of friend's not helping, belief that one has sinister intentions
~
Villain awoke, groggy, and stared across the room. His head pounded against his skull in a sinister manner, making him very dizzy and slightly disoriented. He couldn't think, the room swirled into multiple colors at once- making him feel intoxicatingly sick to his stomach.
At that thought, he lurched towards the side and coughed up clumps of vomit. Then, watery bile exited his stomach painfully, leaving Villain lying limply on his side.
His head throbbed, his stomach throbbed, his throat throbbed... everything throbbed, and everything hurt.
"Villain?" Came a voice through the haze of discomfort. Villain glanced over to see a frighteningly familiar stature looming over him. For a moment, he just observed, not really thinking and allowed his brain to soak it all in.
"Hero," he replied after a bit, voice hoarse and cracking. He groaned, furrowing his eyebrows, and closed his eyes. Pain radiated off his forehead, leaving in gusts of heat.
Suddenly, the steaming pan was cooled by a soft touch to his forehead. Villain grunted and opened his eyes to a very blurry figure looming over him. He drew in a sharp breath, startled, before relaxing. Whatever she was going to do to him, he could take it. He thought this while remembering the scenario at the bar- drinking with his friends, setting down his drink to have an arm wrestle, picking it back up, drinking, then getting very dizzy and nauseous, went outside for air then...
Hero. He ran into Hero.
Then nothing.
Villain focused on the figure in front of him, squinting his eyes to make sense of the facial features. His eyes managed that feat for just a moment. Hero's face cleared and then blurred out again.
"You good?" Hero asked.
Villain made a blubbering sound and shook his head. No, he wasn't. Someone drugged him, and his friends didn't think to help when he told them that he wasn't feeling well. Villain whimpered- it wasn't that he would've let him help, or appreciated it, but the fact that they didn't try...
No, stop it. It was just the drug making his emotions go haywire. He needed to calm down.
"You're burning up," Hero commented, brushing her hand down his cheek. Villain jerked away before slowly leaning into her kind touch.
At least she found him, not the person who drugged him.
Or, maybe she was the person who drugged him. Maybe this was all an act, a way to win his trust and then she would betray him.
"Simmer down, bud," Hero murmured. "You're hyperventilating."
I am? Villain slowed his breathing, finding his heartbeat unruly and fast. He groaned and squeezed his eyes shut.
"What are you going to do with me?" He asked, voice shaky.
"What do you mean?"
"Y-you, you..." Villain couldn't managed to get the words out as he let out a tiny cry. How could he admit his vulnerability so blatantly?
"Villain, I didn't harm you."
No, but you will, Villain thought, squeezing the sheets and clenching his jaw.
"I found you behind the bar buddy," Hero continued, sitting down next to him. "Don't you remember that?"
"I remember you, but not what you did. What if you put something in me? To make me tell the truth, or give me a metal arm," Villain gapsed for breath as he spoke, tears streaming fluidly down his face.
"I didn't do anything," Hero soothed, tentatively running a hand through Villain's hair. "I promise."
Villain froze at the contact before leaning into it. Whether or not Hero was telling the truth, he had no choice but to just allow it.

The whumpee sighed, leaning into the caregiver’s gentle touch. A slight smile slipped onto their face. It was over, they were free.
“Th-thanks,” they mumbled, “Thank... you...”
