I know that "Ruby's eyes glow in the dark" is a fairly popular headcanon, but I like to think that the silver eyes also come with some other, less eye-related, weird things. Most of them far less dramatic than zapping Grimm, just noticeably weird things like:
Ruby is slightly magnetic, so sometimes metal objects just stick to her
Ruby has a higher-than-average risk of accidentally setting off a metal detector. It's not a sure thing, but it has happened before
Ruby conducts electricity better than most people (this is not the same as Nora's Semblance, which absorbs electricity). Basically, when she gets zapped, more of the zap passes through her than it would through a typical non-silver-eyed person
One time, she gets hit by a flashbang and for a few seconds, her veins turn black
Ruby's rose petals taste metallic. Don't ask Weiss how she knows that
Other people with silver eyes (*cough* Maria *cough*) would also have those quirks (except for the petal thing)
