Dishonorable discharge: what got you into the series (either the show or the books or both)?

My fiancé! He watched the first three seasons on his own and suggested it a few times to me but there were always other, more popular shows that I wanted to watch, and I didn’t really know any of the actors, so I kept knocking it down the list. Then Covid happened and we made quick work of our “to-watch” list and finally got around to it!! Fell absolutely into love with the world and the characters and decided to read the books, too (fiancé’s already read all those, as well, so it’s just one big game of catch up for me ...)

Pa: which event or plotline in the series makes you the most angry?

Interlude: what was a scene that you found really satisfying?

Sex in the airlock, duh. (In case you forgot that I am, at the end of the day, a horny fangirl.) It’s the culmination of their adversarial relationship in the show, and I’ll never not love Jim and Naomi together.

Laconia: what’s your favourite thing that the protomolecule has done so far?

I have SO MUCH to catch up in the books, so for now I’ll say the opening of the Rings. It’s such a paradigm shift that no one could’ve possibly prepared for — “portals to other systems” isn’t really in anyone’s emergency handbook, y’know? So you have these three competing factions that recognize how life-changing the Rings are but aren’t willing to put aside their differences and actually come up with a plan. (teh parallels!!1!!)

Slow zone: what’s your wildest, most whack headcanon?

I don’t know that I actually have any wild or whack headcanons?! I have things I like thinking about but I don’t think they’ve quite entered the headcanon phase ... (Maybe because I’ve only been in this fandom for five or so months? Or more likely because I still have so much source material to consume that I don’t know what will be solved for me once I catch up.)
