Monogamy Warrior Ashfur- Chapter 1: Possession

Part 2 of some redesigns (or I guess mostly revamps for these ones?)! I did Crow and Night in the other post, and didn't want to leave Leafpool behind, but if I was doing Leafpool I had to do Squirrelflight, which meant also doing Brambleclaw, and if I'm doing Bramblestar I might as well do Tigerstar too bc I did his parents fairly recently... So uh up first is Tigerstar I! His face had to stay mostly the same due to how the TigerClones work, but I did rework his pelt pattern! Also he's more red, pulling from his father. Next is Brambleclaw/star, he ended up being one of my favorites in this group of redesigns. He looks a lot like Tigerstar but there are differences. I also included a revamped Imposterstar headshot, where his fur is more grey-ish and droopy like his possessor :3 He's actually described with a lot more scars after the whole ordeal is over, so I went and put those on his elder design too. After is Squirrelstar! Her design didn't change all that much, except for the colors and now she has her leader star ❤️ And finally Leafpool! Her design also didn't change very much, except making her colors a bit darker. She grows lighter as she gets older while Squirrelflight grows darker </3

Day 30: The Imposter

At the start of the possession his patches where white but the longer Ashfur possessed Bramblestar body the more his true fur color came trough, the left eye was blue from the start tough (also a beat up version because he deserved it)

I bet Squirrelflight feels so dirty beside Bramblestar in the After.

I bet deep down she gets nervous when she sees him out of the den and she’s organizing patrols. I bet her paws itch to run back up there and slink back to his side as not to upset him, before she remembers, before she knows it’s safe.

Her fur feels as prickly as it did the nights she had to still share a nest knowing she laid beside an imposter. When she spends too much time in the den, her nose twitches with the smells of old prey and dirty bedding. When she leaves, she swears the scent is coming from her.

I bet she grooms and grooms, even takes to rolls in the river to wet her pelt.

I bet she jabs back just as playfully at teasing about her wanting to join RiverClan but she still doesn’t feel all the way Clean. I don’t know if she ever will.

She’s not mouse-brained. She knows it wasn’t her fault, that Ashfur was evil, that they were never mates.

She thinks of Ashfur, hurting the cats she loved over and over again. She knows logically it wasn’t her fault.

But there’s stones in her belly that wonder what she did to drive him to it. What she could have prevented and avoided. If she’d been nicer turning him down. If she hadn’t been so close with him when Brambleclaw fueded with her. All the lives lost because she couldn’t suck it up and given him what he wanted.

She doesn’t remember being as afraid of him as she is now. She doesn’t remember the sick emotions swelling back up again. She didn’t think it hurt her so badly in ways she can’t describe. She doesn’t know how to stop it.
