Imagine bieng afraid of aliens , that fear becoming real , one of the people you trust the most got converted into an alien ( the hot doctor ) , getting chased by an more aggressive alien ( our inoccent bean green 😇) in the vents , getting caught and after a bit of talking you get turned into an alien . That's crazy ngl , life is unfair for lime 😔
Oh yeah, Lime didn’t take it well in the slightest. They’ve been muttering nonstop nonsense about defiled temples ever since that day. Probably nothing important though.
Blue does what they can to ease Lime’s distress. Despite their efforts, it doesn’t look to be helping.
I was thinking of when people draw impostors as crewmates with tentacles sticking out of their backs and how that reminded me of those freaky tentacle moths. I thought it would be fun to try and make an impostor design based off of one. When I found out that the purpose of those weird bits was to emit pheromones to attract a mate, I thought it would fit great for blue!
Imp!Blue uses these pheromones to their advantage, leaving crewmates inexplicably infatuated with them (somehow even more so than regular blue). They have an unbelievably easy time gaining the crew's trust and they make use of that by subtly turning people against one another with rumors and calmly spoken accusations.
Contrary to the top right text, I am thinking the abdomen tentacles would double as penises. They have 4 total.
When disguised as a crewmate, they store their tentacles inside their backpack, so the pheromones are there but the effect isn't as strong as it is when the tentacles are allowed to breathe.
When the tentacles are out in the open I imagine the effect spikes up to the point where just being within their general vicinity has a serious aphrodisiac effect and maybe being away from them could even leave you with some kind of withdrawal symptoms.
I have a more nsfw thing of them too, but I'm too scared to post that here. Idunno what Tumblr sees as banworthy exactly.

Very good question! Took me a long while to hash out what I think could/would happen. But, for the sake of keeping things simple, here is the best case scenario for White.
The name of the game is making the other cremates impostors like them. But, since White realistically can’t convince everyone alone, their best bet is to assimilate both Blue and (funnily enough) Cyan as their personalities lend itself to better persuasion.
Blue, being both the doctor and heartthrob they are is an obvious pick. Blue’s knowledge on things both physical (prior to being made an impostor, they’d insist on studying their biology which White would happily obliged) and mental health is important. White, despite being an imposter themselves, likely doesn’t have the scientific knowledge that Blue can to infer upon things. White knows this. So Blue is of course top of thief list.
As for Cyan, the reason White needs them converted is because of their almost supernatural intuition with the Ore+ eggs. Impostor Cyan seems to be able to almost communicate with the unhatched aliens inside. It is Cyan that not only realizes that the Ore contains eggs, but said aliens within the eggs can have different compatibilities based upon its temperament and preferred host. The higher the compatibility between an alien and the host, the smoother the transition into being an impostor. There is less chance for versatile or negative effects due to this. An example of a not so great compatibility is Green themself, as they’re far too aggressive with a high prey drive post-infection.
Cyan likely convinces Black. Brown may ultimately be converted through the efforts of Orange and White, though Yellow is up in the air (I can see White possibly settling for only assimilating 1 of the chefs, as they’re so loyal to each other it’s unlikely they’d put the other at risk). Lime could be persuaded (after being chased down and caught by Green) with Blue’s prompting and a bit conspiracy theory crafting from White. Red does something stupid and probably accidentally becomes an impostor. Finally, that leaves Purple…
White will likely have the hardest time trying to convince them to assimilate. How that ends? Well, perhaps they’ll find out when they all touch down on Industria alive.
Turns out transforming into a murderous snakemate every morning is neither a good experience, nor great for your (and your crew's) overall health. 0/10 Hot Doctors recommend.
A little bonus to go with the general explanation of my Impostor Blue AU. I'm a huge sucker for the Hide and Seek transformation animation, so I ended up drawing Blue's own sequence into a Viper-Seeker based on it! Plus it also gives y'all a proper look at this wretched thing.
Just some extra tidbits of info about the general lore of TSitF AU, just to give the folks who are interested some more to work with!

In total, the Skeld Crew has been stranded in the Fungle for 2 months and 14 days prior to Blue being bitten by the strange snake;
Creating their base of operations was not a smooth process as the crew initially did not fully trust each other (which is to be expected from canon). While they had advantages (Blue's past experience building structurally sound homes, Lime's engineering skills, Black's geology degree and Green's manual labour know-how) the entire crew lacked overall coordination and survival experience. It took a lot of instances of in-fighting before an intervention was called for to air everyone's issues out, and to then work through them for the sake of the entire group;
While two month and a half weren't enough to sort through all of the pre-existing drama between Red and Purple, it was enough to at least ignite a newly formed iteration of their friendship (and while Red and Purple have not discussed the full extent of the harm the NDA has done to their past friendship, Red seems to have realised they were in the wrong but has of yet refused to admit to it out of both cowardice and shame);
The crew essentially trauma-bonded while building their base, foraging for edible food, and trying to establish a game-plan for how to get out of being stranded on a strange planet (as well as getting out of being severely punished by MIRA for losing the Ore+ shipment, damaging company property, and wasting valuable company time). This bond is what made everyone decide to not write Blue off as a complete lost cause, instead opting to figure out some sort of cure for their current dilemma;
Upon waking up on their first sunset post Viper-Seeker transformation, Blue was horrified when told about about what happened to themself and Black's untimely death. Unlike the rest of the crew, they immediately realised the situation they were now in was incredibly dire and that holding out on getting rid of them might be a mistake (they did not fight against the crew's decision, however, due to an instinctual fear of dying);
The crew has attempted many means of containment for Blue's Viper-Seeker form. They've tried to lock them in an empty storage crate, tied them to a huge sturdy mushroom, tried locking them in their greenhouse, and even attempted to ditch them on an isolated ledge on the mountainside. Every attempt has failed in some way, with one even ending with Brown suffering severe acid burns to one of their hands;
As a Viper-Seeker, Blue is very much not behind the wheel. They possess some form of intelligence which puts them above an actual animal, but not enough that they can be reasoned with. The Viper's instinct to kill simply overwrites Blue's core personality and turn it into something cunning and sadistic. The more time passes the more it seems to learn with each attempt to hunt down and kill each crewmate, giving its interactions with them a personalised and rather cruel feel to them (like the Viper is toying with them);
Using samples from Blue has yielded little to no conclusive results as to how to cure the doctor. Without specialised equipment they simply can't identify what was originally their DNA and the snake bite's influence over their genetic coding, nor any other weaknesses they might have other than the cold, so they're at a bit of a stalemate when it comes to developing a potential cure;
Cyan, upon deliberating over some of Lime's theories (most of which involve a disturbing amount of vampire and lycanthropy "lore", science fiction, religious anecdotes, and old wives' tales), has proposed they attempt to find another snake like the one that bit Blue. Their reasoning being that if they have a pure sample from one of the snakes, they might be able to figure out just how exactly it interacts with samples from the rest of the crew in a controlled environment ("The snake's malevolent aura infected Blue's and changed them into something in-between accord and discord. Maybe if we have the source of this evil, we can use our medical equipment to discover how this mysterious energy influences that of other beings without risking us becoming more agents of chaos!").
Black will not be the only death on Blue's conscience, and the more they hear about their transformed state's actions towards everyone, the more they seem to give up hope and lean more towards drastic action to save their friends from further harm. The doctor's declining mental state concerns Lime and Cyan especially, who both understand that they need Blue's medical expertise more than ever to actually find a cure.
