Intro to La Ronde - Improv Resource Center

Ever wanted to try La Ronde? Now you can in this one night, three hour workshop at the Improv Resource Center, Tue, May 30 - 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Game recognizes game, but are you starting to look a lil unfamiliar? Not to worry; there is help! The Hip Hop Debate runs a drop-in improv workshop where you can work on your skills. Good for hip-hop improvisors, musical improvisors, and even regular-ass improvisors of all skill levels. Also, it's a decent amount of fun. Not to brag about how fun it is or anything. Let's just say it's a non-zero amount of fun. Somewhere between zero and infinity, non-inclusive. What's even better is that coming to the workshops gets you invited to perform at our shows, with first dibs on some stage time. Before you know it, you'll be recording remixes with Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé. Try not to forget us when you're famous. Next practice: Saturday, Sept. 6th, 4–6pm @ The National Opera Center, Room 710.

Emily's been coaching Soulmates and I have got to recommend her class to you. What's great about her is she really makes you confident in your own play and your own voice. She emboldens you and gets you to doing the kind of improv you want to do, the best version of yourself. I seriously recommend her to everyone I meet, and I'm recommending her here because she will make you a better improviser, period.

The class is small (around 8 people give or take, I believe), so you get a lot of one on one time, which is perfect, because she has so much to offer.

Can't recommend this enough. Next class begins Wednesday, 9/12 at 7PM!

This workshop uses music to help the improviser connect emotionally to the relationship of the scene. Whether you perform regularly with musical accompaniment or not, your characters should always feel.

The music is only used for inspiring emotion. This is not a musical theater/singing workshop.
