⇾  @flammeus : if anyone was expecting me to say nice things about anna then YOU WOULD BE CORRECT 😅 i feel like you already know how much i adore you and red to the point where it’s probably annoying, but oh well. i’ve said it before and i will keep saying it until i leave tumblr: red is one of the most thought out OC’s i have ever seen. and i feel so lucky and honored that a great writer like you and a great character like her would even want to interact with me and max :’) i really love the little world we built for our chaotic weirdos. and thanks for being willing to talk about them all day with me... and thank you for educating me on miriam leone because i will never forgive america for robbing me of her greatness. 😂  also, your edits are beautiful and i will always scream over every single one of them. you are one of my favorites, ilysm, and i will follow you forever.

📖 my muse reads a book/bedtime story for your muse.

His  gaze  is  intense  as  he  watches  Jules  carry  on  with  her  book.   The  bowl  of  weed  in  his  hand  serves  as  an  after  thought  seeing  as  he’s  distracted  by  the  words  coming  out  of  her  mouth.   This  isn’t  exactly  what  he  had  in  mind  when  she  said  she’s  going  to  read  him  something.   Quickly  he  sits  up,  back  leaning  against  the  headboard.   “  Um  . . .  really,  Jules?  ”   A  brow  is  quirked  as  his  eyes  remain  in  her  direction.   “  This  is  what  you  think  of  when  you  tell  me  you’re  gonna  do  some  light  reading  before  bed?  ”   Max  shakes  his  head  and  suspires  before  bringing  the  bowl  to  his  lips  and  indulging.   “  If  I  get  nightmares  . . .  ”   Sentence  is  spoken  as  smoke  expels  from  his  mouth.   “  please  know  that  you’re  gonna  be  the  one  that  has  to  deal  with  me.  ”

Jules: [appears & sets down 2 more cups]

Max: no

Jules: [starts to shuffle them]

“  Can  you  not?  ”   It  sounds  like  it’s  a  request,  but  it’s  far  from  it  ;  more  of  a  demand  . . .  but  said  gently.   Max  quickly  turns  his  body  to  shine  the  flashlight  just  below  her  face.   “  If  you  expect  me  to  last  the  entire  night  in  here  with  you  then  you  need  to  stop  freaking  me  out  when  we  haven’t  even  walked  in  yet.  ”   Something  of  a  groan  laced  with  a  jagged  exhale  escapes  his  being,  lips  and  brows  both  tightly  bunched  together   ----  the  universal  sign  of  someone  who  is  stressed.   But  he’s  not  going  to  let  it  get  to  him  just  yet.   No,  for  he  promised  Jules  that  he’d  try  his  best.  

A  hand  reaches  to  twist  the  doorknob  and  he  ignores  the  way  the  door  creaks  as  it’s  pushed  it  open.   The  darkness  is  intimidating,   so  much  so  that  he  doesn’t  even  wanna  shine  his  flashlight  to  see  what  lurks  within  it.   “  Uh  ---  what’s  up,  can  we  come  in?  ”   He  feels  silly  talking  to  nothing,  but  he’s  seen  enough  of  those  ghost  shows  to  know  that  you  can  never  be  too  careful.   Finally,  Max  leads  the  way  inside.   Timid  steps  are  taken  toward  the  staircase  that  look  more  threatening  than  inviting.   It’s  with  some  hesitation  that  he  turns  to  Jules,  fully  expecting  her  to  do  something  to  scare  him.   “  Okay,  now  what?  ”
