Mim presses her hands together in front of her stomach, nails biting into the curve of her thumb. She studies the floor for a moment. After another moment, she loosens her grip and signs: < That doesn’t sound like a fun habit to have. >
Because being right usually means being let down means being hurt means being disappointed. It never means anything good.
20. Have they ever had an imaginary friend? (besides barney barton lmaoo bye)
WHO HURT YOU?????
Mim definitely had imaginary friends up until she was eight or so. She never did well with others and was always a shy kid so she had to make her own friends up.
She never really talked about them to her parents because she felt they would think it was weird but they would indulge her sometimes and ask questions.
Mim’s imaginary friends were usually based off story book characters and the images she saw in them. So she had a bunch of princess type friends and then a few knights and at one point, a pet dragon. She would especially take the bad characters and reform them into “good” bc sometimes she felt they were like her and nobody really understood them.
She’d also assign any of her stuffed animals or dolls personalities and had a toy bear she brought everywhere with her for like years. Prospero probably did something to it and Mim is still mad at him for it.
