A cheap spell for separating relations between objects and people:

Ground and center, meditate, whatever you like to do before you do magic, but make sure you’re calm and relatively peaceful. Get the object and an image of the person. It doesn’t have to be a photograph, just an image that represents them. Get a sheet of paper and draw a symbol you associate with cutting ties between things/blocking contact from something or someone. I personally use a large X, but that’s up to you! Preferably this paper will be emerald green (for history, healing, and resolution) or have something emerald green on it. Put the paper on a level surface- I use the floor, but it’s up to you, whatever’s comfortable and feels right - and sit down behind the paper, facing it. Place the image to the left side of the paper, to indicate that this connection is being left in the past. Place the object on the right side of the paper, for new beginnings. Take a moment to center yourself if you need it, and if not just proceed. Place one hand over the object and one over the image, and say or think,

“I cut the tie and break the binds,

These are no longer connected.

I leave this person now behind,

Though the gift has been accepted.”

With this, close your eyes and visualize the flow of energy between them- if you’re not good at visualizing, that’s okay! Just try, I promise you you’ll do good enough for it to work. Try to feel the connection between the person and object being severed, then lift your hands from the image and object. Place a bowl or something over the image of the person to block them, and if you can, draw a yellow (to symbolize new beginnings) heart around the object. If you can’t, imagine the energy of one there, or try making one with black salt if you have any. Leave the bowl over the image for as long as you want. After this, ground yourself and go about your day ♪
